Brooklyn Beta Code of Conduct

Welcome to Brooklyn Beta. We want to make sure you feel safe and welcome here. Please read this code of conduct carefully, because we expect everyone to adhere to it.


  1. Be respectful of everyone, regardless of gender, age, race, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, or profession. Actively seek to understand and respect the personal boundaries of your fellow attendees.
  2. Should something happen that makes you feel unsafe or targeted, please let us know. You can contact either one of us, a member of our staff, or one of our volunteers. All reports will be be taken seriously and handled in the strictest confidence.
  3. When you’re not at the conference, please travel in groups when possible. While we think Brooklyn is generally very safe, we want to make sure your time here is without incident.

Above all else, know that we care about you. We want everyone who comes to Brooklyn Beta to feel safe and welcome, and we will do everything we can to make sure that’s the case.
